UWAC ADOS-2 Advanced Research Workshop Interest Form |
Please complete this form if you are interested in attending an ADOS-2 Advanced Research Workshop offered by the UW Autism Center. Once we have enough interest, we will schedule a training and notify you of next steps.
The ADOS-2 Advanced Research Workshop is intended for professionals who want to further their clinical competence with the ADOS-2 and/or work towards establishing research levels of reliability on the administration and coding standards. Individuals planning to use the ADOS-2 in research studies must establish reliability on the measure. During the 2-day workshop, participants will work with an experienced trainer where they will have the opportunity to practice administering and scoring the ADOS-2 modules with typically developing children and those who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Individualized feedback will be provided on administration and scoring.
Prerequisites: Prior to attending the Advanced Research Workshop, individuals must record themselves administering two modules from the ADOS-2 and send in or bring the videos to the workshop. Participants are expected to record one ADOS-2 administration from the lower module set (Toddler, Module 1 or 2) and one from the upper module set (Module 3 or 4), both with individuals who meet criteria on ASD. Individualized feedback on these recorded administrations will be provided during the course of the two-day workshop. Completion of the pre-course recordings is a key step in achieving research reliability and prepares participants for post-course work.
COVID-19 safety guidelines: The UWAC follows University of Washington, local, state and federal orders and guidelines for COVID-19.
